In the early hours of July 5th, Kissimmee residents Mario Manzi 19, Jazmin Ahmed 19, and Ryan Diaz 19, were stuck in the rain under a buildings parking overhang at 47 W. Jefferson street in Orlando after coming out of a Mewithoutyou concert. They were patiently waiting for an Uber driver to take them home when all of a sudden an Orlando Police officer appeared on a bicycle claiming that he was responding to a call from a woman inside the building who said she could hear people talking under the parking overhang and that she could ‘smell marijuana’ through the buildings mail slot. Once the police officer – who has been identified as Michael Napolitano – said he was detaining and searching the concert goers under the suspicion that he could also smell marijuana, Manzi took out his cellphone to record the altercation for legal purposes. Once Manzi hit record, that’s where things began to go south.
