Last week, upwards of 5,000 people marched through the streets of Baltimore demanding justice for Freddie Gray, and other victims of police brutality. In response to massive organizing efforts by activists in the city and the thousands who showed up on the streets, Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby charged six police officers in connection to the death of the 25-year-old man. City activists are hoping this will act as an impetus toward broader organizing efforts around police reform and larger structural change.
