It was a beautiful Saturday, June 13th, when I received word that Rand Paul was coming to San Diego.
People are gobbling up his controlled-opposition candidacy like there’s no tomorrow. Coincidentally, he came through just around the same day that Israel investigated themselves and found nothing wrong in their killing of 4 innocent boys playing soccer on the beach of Gaza during the 2014 slaughter that Rand Paul and President Obama supported with US tax dollars.
While people are supporting a political false idol’s ego trip in sunny San Diego, mothers lost their children, and children lost their mothers. But that’s out of sight, out of mind for those infected by the disease known as ultra-nationalism. That’s why Paul only speaks out against drone strikes against American citizens and doesn’t care about drone strikes happening to innocent people of other nationalities at the hands of the Obama administration. He doesn’t ascribe to the notion of universal brotherhood and sisterhood, that we are all one human family and that all lives matter. American lives are not more superior to others.
