A Return To The Madness Of M.A.D.

August 30, 2016 By Brett Redmayne-Titley 2 Comments

One generation later, madmen have returned. They bring with them the madness of … M.A.D.

Again, absolutely all politics are reduced to White or Black. There is no gray. All peoples of our world again exist within a fateful clash between only two distinct ideologies, best summed-up as; Good vs. Evil. Right vs. Wrong. Life or… death?

A mere generation ago the colors of worldwide military polarization were then thrust upon the innocent by mad politicians with similar delusions of empire who, then, portrayed their geo-political expansionism in the easily understood colors of Red vs. Blue: East vs. West. The Cold War. The once Soviet empire vs. the ever-burgeoning U.S. contra-empire. The multitude of issues separating the two supposedly separate doctrines of Red or Blue ultimately distilled into one single, horrific doctrine of military nuclear madness that all on earth finally, by the necessity of self-preservation, truly understood.

To increase the perceived terror of their new doctrine of horror, these politicians announced an all-too-accurate acronym that translated their man-made horror into a simple definition no sane person could ignore. A doctrine of pure madness, one trumpeted by treasonous politicians and readily admitted to by their military leaders in the name of final “world victory.” M.A.D.

Mutually. Assured. Destruction.

Ours.

The Real Danger To Israel Isn’t Iran, It’s IT & Globalization

April 14, 2015 By David Seaton Leave a Comment

The selling point of starving or beating Iran into submission has always been that if they had even one atomic bomb they would use it to attack Israel, a nation which has from 80 to 200 such weapons, many of them in the form of long range missiles mounted on submarines, which guarantees Israel an invulnerable “second strike capability.”

The idea that Iran is planning to turn Israel, its Jewish inhabitants and a considerable number of Palestinian Muslims into a radioactive Auschwitz in exchange for having their entire nation and its 75,000,000 people turned into ashes is totally absurd. The Persians, though notably strict in their religious practice, are eminently rational and have been for thousands of years. They are just as rational as Khrushchev’s USSR was. They would not start an atomic exchange that would mean the annihilation of their country.

The biggest problem brought on by the Iranians having a bomb would be that all the other countries in the region would want one too. That sounds terrible, but even if (Allah forbid) the Islamic State took over Saudi Arabia, I doubt that — nutty as they are — even they would want to see the Kaaba, Mecca and Medina turned into molten glass on their watch. And I would think that the Egyptians (about the only existing nation older than Persia) are certainly as rational as the Persians.

Obama’s Reactionary Doctrine For American Exceptionalism

February 20, 2015 By Burkely Hermann 6 Comments

In his recent State of the Union, Obama made many bold statements which people have said were “progressive” and hopeful. These include: his support for paid sick leave for American workers, a pathetic increase of the minimum wage to $10.10, meant to hurt the ‘Fight for $15’ movement; a promise to veto legislation that overturns deficient Wall Street “reform;” support for “affordable” quality childcare; minimal raises in taxes for the wealthy, which isn’t nearly enough; sorta free community college [1]; supposedly protecting “a free and open Internet,” and so on.

Obama also made a number of ‘firsts’ by mentioning transgender and lesbian people in his State of the Union, claiming that the United States government protects them (oh really), which seems great but ignores the fact that not only is Obama “a born again” evangelical Christian, but he has, during his presidency, allowed federal money to fund groups that supported the anti-gay bill in Uganda and “conservative faith-based groups affiliated with the Family Research Council, anti-choice crisis pregnancy centers and an entire network of evangelical abstinence-only educators,” according to an exhaustive investigation in The Nation.

It is important to focus on other parts of the speech, often missed by other analysis, which emphasize American exceptionalism [3], including a section where he hypocritically criticizes Russia for actions that the US has done in the past:
