A 15-year-old girl mentally challenged girl was allegedly gang-raped in an Elmont, New York classroom by two of her classmates, reports the New York Daily News.
The girl, identified only as K.J, was sitting in science class at Martin de Porres Academy in May of 2012, when the assualt began, in which she was allegedly repeatedly “orally sodomized” by two boys, who struck her whenever she tried to escape, writes the New York Daily News.

The girl has an I.Q. of 60, writes the Examiner,and was the only girl in a classroom of 14 when the incident took place.
The mother of the victim claims that the teacher present in the classroom ignored the assualt as it was happening, writes IBN Live, and that school officials failed to report the crime

Martin De Porres executive director Edward Danawrote in a statement that “as soon as we learned about the allegations, we conducted an internal investigation. As a result of our investigation, the teacher was fired.”
Dana added that the school had cooperated fully “with detectives from Nassau County who advised us that no charges would be filed against the alleged assailants”
