Americans say joblessness is the number one problem they face, according to a Gallup poll published Monday.
Nearly a quarter of respondents cited jobs and unemployment as the biggest challenge facing the country — a considerable leap from 16 percent in January.
The government and politicians had previously topped the list of problems since the government shutdown this fall.
Before the shutdown, jobs and the economy held the top slot.
The findings were based on a survey of over 1,000 adults from across the United States, conducted between February 4th and 9th.
